Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures according to written department protocol as requested by physician's order, or unless modified by radiologist's preference.


Maintains established organization and departmental policies, procedures, objective quality assessment and safety. Assists radiologists and other physicians, as required. Relates to patients of all ages. Assists in maintaining a safe working environment. Available for on-call and call-back responsibilities. Will supervise and evaluate students as assigned.


Must hold a current Indiana ISDH license. Possess knowledge of cross section anatomy. Possess knowledge of Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Cardiology protocol. Possess knowledge of Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Cardiology equipment. Ability to critique processed radiographs (or images on monitor) against measurable criteria as established by the Radiology Department Standard Operating Procedures. Ability to administer IV contrast/radioisotopes as directed by radiologist. Possess knowledge of patient safety precautions and contraindications to performance of Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Cardiology procedures. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with current valid license with the State of Indiana. Must be CPR certified (within 3 months of hire date).
