Performs/monitors Ultrasound procedures according to written protocol as requested by physician's order, or unless modified by Radiologist's preference. Adheres to established organizational and departmental Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, quality assessment, and safety. Assists Radiologists and other physicians. Ability to instruct on proper use of dictation line. Ability to interact with patients of all ages i.e., neonatal, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric as required by department patient population. Must posses problem solving abilities, excellent customer service skills and Patient First mentality. Assists in maintaining a safe working environment throughout the facility. Available for on-call and call-back responsibilities, as required. Assists Diagnostic Supervisor and Senior Technologists in making recommendations for cost containment and quality improvement. Sign-on / Relocation Bonus possible.


Maintains established organizational and departmental policies, procedures, objective quality assessment and safety. Assists radiologists and other physicians, as required. Relates to patients of all ages. Assists in maintaining a safe working environment. Available for on-call and call-back responsibilities. Will supervise and evaluate students as assigned.


Must be ARDMS registered and possess knowledge of cross section anatomy. Possess knowledge of Ultrasound protocol. Knowledge of patient safety precautions and contraindications. Ability to critique processed radiographs (or images on monitor) against measurable criteria as established by the Radiology Department Standard Operating Procedures. Current valid license with the State of Indiana. Must be CPR certified (within 3 months of hire date)
