The Storeroom Clerk I is responsible for receiving, controlling, storing, shipping & issuing all stock and non-stock items as assigned by Coordinator, Materials Services.


Receive, inspect, verify and accept or reject all supplies and equipment delivered to the hospital.
Process and/or file necessary paperwork/documentation.
Distribute/deliver supplies to all departments.
Conduct weekly annual inventories.
Must have good communication skills, relate well to others and be detail oriented.


High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience with receiving, storage and distribution of supplies is required.
Must have full vertical and horizontal reach of arms and full use of legs (including bending and squatting.
Must be able to lift (unassisted) any item weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to lift (with assistance) any item weighing a minimum of 100 lbs.
Must be able to push or pull a cart weighing a minimum of 250 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk 90% of workday.
Must be able to coordinate use of an electric pallet jack moving supply loads weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
Will be working in a general warehouse environment 75% of time.
