Overview

Responsible for department quality improvement measures and the collection of monthly required data. Assist with the implementation of quality improvement program to meet company, state, federal, and ACHC standards. Performs telemarketing functions as required including but not limited to patient survey call, maintenance follow up calls, hospice patients and families and introductory calls to potential referral sources. Develop and maintain current HME products and services, and provide impact on marketing to customers, physicians and other referral sources. This position will also support clinical technician as having the working knowledge on delivering and setting up equipment, performance of preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment. Will assume on call responsibility during non routine business hours.

Responsibilities

Ability to effectively communicate, prioritize work using fundamental time management, handle multiple tasks and projects dealing with complex patient/family dynamics and work in and support a team environment. Ability to meet deadlines and perform quality work assignments during shift. Demonstrates the ability to be flexible to assigned tasks and organized in stressful situations. Associate will be a resource to team members. Will communicate effectively with staff performance improvement areas. Performs over the counter sales functions and handles cash transactions efficiently and accurately. Associate is capable of delivering care/service appropriate to patients/customers. Secures all equipment for transport. Picks up equipment from patients/clients, loads equipment following infection control and safety guidelines, delivering and unloading to designated area. Instructs patients/clients on the basic use of the equipment. Leaves written instruction as well as product literature with the patients/clients. Informs patients/clients regarding hours of operation, on-call hours and contact information. Reviews all necessary documentation with patients. Obtains patient/client signature on necessary documents. Performs daily vehicle safety checks when needed in that role keeping interior clean and free of debris. Assesses equipment repairs and provides on-site repair when possible. Participates in inventory control. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma. Two (2) years experience in medical equipment maintenance preferred. Mandatory Continuing Education: Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
