The Patient Care Tech performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with educational background, clinical experience, orientation, competency verification and hospital policies and procedures.
Shifts on this unit are 12 hours for this job description. Associate must be able to work 12 hour shifts to qualify for the position. This position would minimally be required to work 1 weekend every 3 weeks. Maintains good physical and emotional well-being. Possesses genuine interest in caring for patients in the acute care environment. Personal qualities to include kindness, sympathy, understanding, respect, good judgment, integrity, loyalty, and the ability to relate effectively with patients, families and coworkers.
High school diploma or Equivalent. Relevant experience required.
Mandatory Continuing Education: Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
