The qualified Registered Nurse, RN will have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a Emergency department. Experience as an EMT or Paramedic with an RN license from an accredited school of nursing will also be preferred. The ideal RN will be able to be flexible with his/her schedule due to the hours and days of the week will vary.
The Registered Nurse personally administers nursing care to patients/residents and/or plans, directs and coordinates the nursing care of a group of patients/residents via the nursing process and in collaboration with the health team. The Registered Nurse also instructs patients/residents and/or families in procedures, healthcare practices and continuing care after discharge. The RN performs duties and responsibilities in a manner adhering to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in compliance with the Indiana State Nurse Practice Act. May be assigned charge responsibilities for the area.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current license as a registered nurse with the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau; ER experience preferred; Basic Life Support, Healthcare Provider CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP training per American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards will be required. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
