    We are currently seeking a qualified Staff Nurse, RN with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in similar position. This position will work nights with geriatric psych patients. The ideal candidate will be able to handle situations with grace and compassion.

    Shifts on this unit are 12 hours for this job description. Associate must be able to work 12 hour shifts to qualify for the position. Maintains good physical and emotional well-being. Possesses genuine interest in caring for patients in the acute care environment. Personal qualities to include kindness, sympathy, understanding, respect, good judgment, integrity, loyalty, sense of humor and the ability to relate effectively with patients, families and coworkers.


    The Staff Nurse, RN administers nursing care to patients and/or plans, directs and coordinates the nursing care of a group of patients utilizing the nursing process and in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN instructs patients and/or families in procedures, healthcare practices and continuing care after discharge. The RN performs duties and responsibilities in a manner adhering to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in compliance with professional practice standards and the Indiana State Nurse Practice Act.


    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse license with the state of Indiana. Basic Life Support certification. Other certifications as required by assigned area of work (i.e., PALS). ACLS preferred but not required.
